Before we get started, there’s a few things that I would love to know in order to help me deliver the best experience for you:
Some things to know before we continue on our journey:
Firstly, thank you for taking the time and interest in my work - this already means more to me than you know.
PAYMENT: A 50% deposit of the total project budget is to be paid to lock in your date. This is non-refundable.
From here we can dedicate time for sharing ideas and inspiration. The remainder payment is due before the shoot date. If you need an invoice please mention this before, not after payment.
DATE: Once we agree on a date it is locked on. There will be some flexibility for changes in weather.
WEATHER: We always do try and shoot at the best times of the day according to the location. Sometimes we really hope for sunshine and other times we want some moody clouds. What we want is not always what we get. For this reason, we will discuss the vision of the project however we cannot change the date based on weather preference unless discussed prior or we have weather that is unsafe for us and my camera gear.
LOCATIONS: I do my best to scout the most appropriate locations for your vision. I try to be mindful of privacy, landscapes unobstructed by human activity and accessibility. Due to the nature of our visions, some locations me be difficult or dangerous to get to. We will discuss this, however you must agree to be fit and able to get to the locations we decide upon.
Further more, we cannot control what other people do past and present in or to our locations. For example, some times we can arrive at a beach and it be littered with trash. We will still find a way to shoot.
NUDITY: If there is an intention to create nude content, it is important that we have a clear discussion prior to clarify intentions and visions. It is important that I am aware of your age and know of any sensitivities you may have around this. It is important we respect local laws and culture. A shoot with nudity may have an extra cost added. Shoots are not nude by default.
PERSONAL SHOOT WITH BRANDED CONTENT: Personal shoots are shoots just for you. Maybe it is a celebration of yourself, your body or just for the exploration of becoming the art that you already are.
If our shoot involves you wearing the product from a brand, be it something you have paid for, were given by a brand or otherwise, and you intend to supply the brand with the imagery for their usage (any usage at all), we need to calculate a budget specific to that brand’s needs. This will be on top of the quoted amount for the personal shoot.
SOCIAL MEDIA: I love all of the work I create, it is an honour to be invited to do this as my profession - it is a real ‘dream come true’ moment. A lot of the work I shoot doesn’t get shown on social media, there is simply too much to post. Our agreement to create does not imply that I will share it. I do love to share the work I create and do my best to share most of it fairly. If you definitely want it to be shared to my audience to promote your business, please mention this so we can make payment options.
EDITING: All images I deliver are edited in the way of stylising, colour-toning, cropping and object removal. I do not edit humans in a way to be artificial, unrealistic or superficial. I don’t change body shapes or remove the beauty marks of aging. I might remove blemishes that are temporary to the body.
Final Note: I do my absolute best to ensure the conditions are just right for us. I trust that no matter the weather, lighting or situation I can find the beauty and make incredible art. My skills have been developed over the past 14 years with countless people, visions and projects. In this space we will create I endeavour to ensure your experience is pleasant and meaningful.
